About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Urgent Care Clinic Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) – Urgent Care BJC HealthCare / Saint Luke’s Health System – Shoal Creek Clinic BJC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Shoal Creek Urgent Care team. This role delivers high-quality professional nursing care in a clinical setting, adhering to established medical standards and practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Shift: Full time days - 40 hours/week

Requirements

Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Strong documentation skills and expertise in clinical assessment.
Flexibility to adapt to various clinical and office roles within the clinic.
Must be available to work a rotating weekend shift (every third weekend).
Less than 1 year
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Registered Nurse (KS) Multi-State - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
Registered Nurse (MO) Multi-State - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
Associate Degree - Nursing

Responsibilities

Clinical Coordination: Manage patient flow, perform telephone triage, and coordinate care for emergent patient needs and appointment scheduling.
Patient Advocacy & Education: Act as a subject matter expert for patient assessment and testing interpretation; identify and address learning needs for patients and their families.
Clinical Oversight: Delegate tasks to clinical staff based on competency and Scope of Practice; oversee the management of expired clinical samples.
Interdisciplinary Support: Maintain a professional demeanor while working both autonomously and collaboratively. Provide cross-functional support by performing LPN, Medical Assistant, or administrative duties as required.
