About The Position

The Registered Nurse works under the general supervision of the Triage Nurse Manager and is responsible for the nursing practices, policies, and procedures of the OneWorld Community Health Centers. Supervision of Health Assistants and Medical Assistants may be required. They work primarily from home, but report to work in the clinic on a rotating basis. Provides nursing care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice. Assists providers in healthcare activities, performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and the administration of medications as necessary. Assists in completing medication refills, providing instructions to patients, making appointments, relaying patients’ requests and questions to the appropriate provider and following up with provider’s directives, assisting with the completion of paperwork, providing phone and walk-in triage, and determining patient disposition based on established triage protocols. Ensures prompt telephonic response to patient calls. Develops nursing personnel work schedules, including leave. Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing degree (ASN) from an accredited school required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska required; or license eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required; experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish required.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and empathy to OneWorld patients and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Position includes remote work from home, which requires a home computer, phone, and high-speed internet access.
  • Reliable transportation needed for floating to other locations within the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.
  • One year or more of nursing experience preferred.
