About The Position

The Registered Nurse Triage position at Endeavor Health involves managing patient health concerns and symptoms primarily through telephone interactions. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois.
• CPR Certification from American Heart Association required.
• 1 year of telephone triage experience preferred, ideally in a medical practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient health concerns and symptoms via telephone interactions.
• Conduct patient telephone assessments to determine problems and provide appropriate medical advice.
• Evaluate patient and caregiver understanding of instructions using teach-back methodology.
• Direct patients to the appropriate level of care based on their needs.
• Arrange appointments for patients requiring physician visits.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain vital signs and other patient data.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures, setting up necessary equipment.
• Perform immunizations and assist with diagnostic procedures.
