Position Summary As a Trauma OR RN , you will provide critical intraoperative care to patients experiencing complex, life-threatening injuries. Youll work alongside top trauma surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to deliver rapid, precise, and compassionate care. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of trauma patients during surgical procedures, ensuring strict adherence to sterile protocols, safety standards, and surgical best practices.

Requirements

Current Florida RN license or recognized compact licensure (per Florida Board of Nursing requirements)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Required BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Trauma OR or Operating Room Required
Strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Deliver direct and specialized nursing care to trauma patients during surgical interventions
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure seamless coordination during procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments and instruments
Document patient care activities accurately and in real time
Maintain knowledge of surgical techniques, emergency protocols, and instrumentation
Support post-operative handoffs and transitions to appropriate recovery units
Remain calm and effective under pressure in high-stress, time-sensitive situations
