About The Position

Provide high quality patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during transport between facilities. Perform assessment and stabilization of patients as well as any necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments by collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary members. Participate in decision-making and partners with the multidisciplinary team to enhance operational efficiency. Complete all appropriate medical documentation. May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and 3 years minimum ED or ICU experience required OR Required professional licensure at time of hire and 3 years minimum ED or ICU experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Spprt is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of NICU, Peds ED or PICU experience minimum
