About The Position

This position is open to experienced nurses and new grad nurses. Located in Nasseff Tower 10 (NT10), the role focuses on Thoracic Surgery/Monitored Surgical (Progressive Care). The unit specializes in the care of adult thoracic surgical patients requiring lung, esophageal, and other foregut surgical procedures. All rooms are equipped with ECG monitoring and additional capabilities such as invasive and noninvasive blood pressure monitoring. Patients require specialized postsurgical care, including management of drainage systems, wound care, and early mobilization. Special emphasis is placed on respiratory assessment, intervention, and management of the postoperative recovery process. The nursing team plays a crucial role in promoting mobility and independence, patient and family education, and discharge planning, which can range from straightforward to complex.
