About The Position

The position is for a Graduate Nurse in the Level 2 department, providing professional nursing care while practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act. The role requires supervision by an experienced registered nurse for those who are newly graduated. The Graduate Nurse will work part-time, with one 12-hour shift and one 8-hour shift per week, covering day/evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing
• Current Pennsylvania licensure
• Other state licensure as required
• Valid Pennsylvania temporary practice permit for GN
• Must complete the licensing examination within six months of hire date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• ACLS certification (must obtain within 6-month introductory period)
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing
• Two years of acute care nursing experience
• Two years of Telemetry experience
• Certification in this specialty area.
