Registered Nurse, Telemetry, 36 Hour (Nights, every 3rd weekend)

The patient population consists of a wide range of general medical diagnoses and conditions with a specialty in Cardiology. Position: Registered Nurse Department: Med Surg Schedule: 36 hours Nights, every 3rd weekend
Requirements
- Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
- 1+ years of RN experience preferred
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required 90 days of hire
- PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients demonstrate culture competence and professional integrity in the pursuit of optimal patient care
- Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information
- Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC’s nursing organization
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
