About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry for an exciting job in New York, NY.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
- 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- 2 years of conscious sedation experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program (required)
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through the NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Initiate and maintain IV lines; perform phlebotomy as required
- Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation , ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical standards
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to medical emergencies
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hospital policies and quality standards
