The Per Diem Registered Nurse - Surgical Telemetry, Nights practices according to the American Nurses Association's (ANA) scope and standards, using clinical expertise to plan and deliver safe, therapeutic, population-specific patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role focuses on patient and family-centered care, incorporating unique characteristics and needs into the care delivery process. The nurse works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes, provides leadership by orienting, mentoring, and managing team members, and participates in performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required for employees hired after 9/1/2020
  • Current and valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license
  • Current and valid BLS certification
  • Knowledge of standards of practice for all areas of patient care
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities
