About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator provides safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and procedural interventions. As a key member of the surgical team, the RN Circulator ensures patient safety and continuity of care throughout the intraoperative process, supporting surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists. Following completion of department orientation, the RN Circulator functions independently to manage surgical cases, uphold sterile technique, maintain accurate documentation, and facilitate clear communication among the surgical team. This position plays an essential role in supporting late-day and add-on cases and contributes to overall departmental efficiency and teamwork. The registered nurse is a clinical practitioner who implements and coordinates patient care specific to the patient population served. Ensures that quality care is provided in an effective and safe manner consistent with the hospital's policies and procedures and within the scope of the practice established by the State of Washington. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pullman Regional Hospital, the relationship-based care guiding principles, the philosophy of care, goals of the unit and organization, and demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Maintain active nursing licensure in the state of Washington.
  • Active BLS (basic life support) certification.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for Register Nurse.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for specific departments.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn, apply, and individualize new patient care skills and uses new equipment safely.
  • Initiates and participates in activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritize through professional delivery of nursing care with the goal of a high level of satisfaction.
