About The Position

The position involves providing professional nursing care and making nursing care decisions that are appropriate for the age and condition of the patient, utilizing the nursing process. The nurse will collaborate with other health care professionals to meet patient needs and is responsible for adhering to CVMC/departmental policies, procedures, and philosophy to deliver quality patient care. The role requires practicing within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act and abiding by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
• BCLS certification (AHA certification required within three months if not from AHA).
• Must obtain a BSN or higher nursing degree within five years of employment (exceptions apply).
• Specific additional certifications required based on practice area within three months of employment.
