The position involves using independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. The nurse will demonstrate clinical competence, compassion, and customer service orientation while focusing on process and outcomes. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, coordinating development of a multi-disciplinary plan of care, and ensuring appropriate length of stay and quality outcomes. The nurse will also provide patient care that respects patients' rights, dignity, values, and preferences, and will collaborate with patients, families, and hospital staff to develop discharge plans. The role requires ongoing assessment and documentation of patient care, administration of therapeutic regimens, and monitoring patient responses to interventions.

  • Provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence and compassion in patient care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to patients.
  • Coordinate development of a multi-disciplinary plan of care.
  • Provide patient education and evaluate effectiveness of educational interventions.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and hospital staff to develop discharge plans.
  • Document nursing interventions and patient responses to care.
  • Administer medications and therapeutic regimens as ordered.
  • Monitor patient physiologic parameters and recognize changes in patient status.
  • Respond to life-threatening emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date.
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date.
  • Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
