Weekender Registered Nurse Surgical Intermediate Care Full Time Days
About The Position
26-bed unit designed to provide treatment, care, and service to adult patients with acute medical, surgical and cardiac conditions specializing in complicated surgeries. Patient population will include but are not limited to esophagectomies, whipples, surgical-oncology cases, high-volume liposuction, multi-level spinal fusions, and vascular cases. Other opportunities for this unit will be any surgical patients that require a medication drip that is not appropriate for the medical-surgical inpatient unit. This unit will also be open to medical step-down and overflow patients to enhance hospital throughput. Direct care of the 2A patients will be provided by registered nurses with an ideal ratio of 1:3-4 patients for step down level of care. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- Basic Life Support
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
