Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Current American Heart Association PALS certification or obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator.
  • Shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Document patient care given.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
