About The Position

Coordinates and delivers patient care using the health care team philosophy practice model. Coordinates and does patient teaching and discharge planning. Coordinates activities with ancillary departments. Maintains standards of department and the hospital. Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state.
• Good judgment in delivering patient care.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to function in stressful situations.
• Current review in CPR.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in general duty nursing preferred, but not required.
• Ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age (adolescents, young adults, middle-aged, and geriatric), limitations, and planned procedures.
