Younker 5 is a dynamic 22-bed Renal, Transplant, and Urology unit, proudly home to Central Iowa’s only transplant center . Our team specializes in complex medical-surgical care, offering nurses the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients undergoing life-changing procedures. As a Nursing Supervisor, you’ll lead a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree upon hire.
• One year experience as a registered nurse.
• Current Iowa license as a registered nurse.
• Current BCLS (CPR)
• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse professional educational and lifestyle backgrounds.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership as part of unit management team.
• Coordinates unit management activities in conjunction with manager/director.
• Facilitates unit staff development in collaboration with manager/director.
• Carries out the day-to-day operation plan of the unit under the direction of the manager/director.
• Serves as a resource to other health team members on the assigned unit.
• Works collaboratively with other departments to facilitate cost effective health care.
• The patients to be served may include: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Assumes patient care assignment based on unit needs.
