The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for using leadership skills to effectively direct and manage the hospital functions on a designated shift. Acts on behalf of Administration while conferring with the nursing staff, physicians and other department personnel, as necessary, to meet the overall needs of patients. Has access to and knowledge of those areas of the Hospital that impact patient care, but are not operational on a 24 hour a day basis. Informs the hospital administrator on call of any situation that may require attention. Manages staffing to provide continuity of professional nursing care. Per Diem NON-BENEFIT Position Commit to work 4 shifts per 6-week schedule. = $42.00 Commit to work 5 shifts per 6-week schedule. = $45.00 Competent to work in one of the following areas: Med Surg/Tele/Ambulatory Care OR/PACU/Cath Lab Emergency Dept. Neurology & Critical Care Work at least (1) weekend or night shift per 6-week schedule. Work (or take call) two holidays per year, (1 major and 1 minor) Must designate shift availability 14 days before shift assignment.
