Registered Nurse Supervisor, Clinical Trials & Research, Full Time, Day
About The Position
The Clinical Trials Supervisor provides administrative and operational leadership for assigned research units within The Valley Hospital (TVH), including but not limited to Cardiology, Oncology, and Neuroscience. This role ensures the effective and compliant conduct of clinical trials by overseeing daily research operations, supervising research personnel, and serving as a lead study coordinator as needed. This role collaborates with investigators, sponsors, and cross-functional teams to ensure studies are executed with integrity, efficiency, and a focus on patient safety. Occasional travel to off-site locations and participation in investigator meetings or other national research meetings as needed. Weekend and on-call availability may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum five (5) years of clinical research experience, including research experience in the relevant therapeutic area or across medical specialties.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of clinical trial operations and human research protection regulations (21 CFR, 45 CFR 46, HIPAA)
- Proficiency in assessing and implementing research protocols and operational workflows.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient research settings.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a structured management framework.
Nice To Haves
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience within the last five (5) years is preferred.
