Registered Nurse - Stepdown
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in a Stepdown unit, requiring a minimum of 18 months of recent experience in Neuro ICU or Neuro Stepdown. Candidates must possess 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to undertaking any travel assignments. The role involves providing care for patients with specific conditions such as EVD's, central lines, stroke, and seizure disorders. The successful candidate will be a traveler and is expected to work at least every other holiday. During orientation, an ECG rhythm recognition test and a SafeMedicate assessment will be administered, and an acceptable score on both is mandatory for the role.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months recent Neuro ICU/Neuro Stepdown experience
- 18 months permanent experience in specialty applying for prior to travel assignments
- AHA BLS certification
- AHA ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand
- Acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition test completed during orientation
- Acceptable score on SafeMedicate assessment completed during orientation
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with EVD's, central lines, stroke, and seizure conditions
- Work at least every other holiday
