GRHS is seeking candidates for the position of Registered Nurse Spv / Charge Nurse - 1st Shift, working 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a unit or shift. The nurse will ensure that staff assess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The position oversees the provision and quality of nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients, advises clients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and may provide case management. The nurse will supervise and plan the work of assigned staff, perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision, and serve as a job expert or organizational resource in assigned areas. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications, consulting with healthcare team members, maintaining accurate client records, modifying treatment plans, monitoring client care, and providing education to clients and families.

  • Provides health care, first aid, immunizations, and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation.
  • Provides training for other staff in job.
  • Licensed by the State of Georgia and/or Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in Georgia.
  • Three years' experience supervising direct care staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Two or more years in a managerial/supervisory or leadership role.
  • BSN a plus but not required for candidates having extensive experience.
