As a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, Sherman Oaks Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within their scope of practice in the Subacute setting. This role involves the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse will also direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel, maintaining professional nursing care standards in the Subacute Unit. This is a fast-paced work environment where the nurse will be directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients, communicating with physicians, the Subacute Unit Director, Charge RN, and co-workers about patient clinical conditions and responses to treatment. The role also involves working with other departments to ensure quality patient care, efficient patient flow, unit maintenance, and organization, while adhering to regulations, standards, and hospital policies. Active participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services is also expected.
