About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides nursing services tailored to the individual needs of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, mental health diagnoses, or related conditions. This role involves assisting in the development of the Individual Plan of Care and monitoring the activities and delivery of services for both licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel, adhering to the established standards of the Texas Board of Nursing (TXBON) and the Nursing Practice Act. The nurse is responsible for implementing current service delivery standards as outlined in the Policy and Procedures of Spindletop Center. Additionally, the nurse provides training for tasks delegated to unlicensed personnel, oversees their work, and ensures compliance with established protocols. The role may also involve training other staff, providers, individuals, family members, volunteers, and students, along with completing necessary documentation related to the work performed.
