The RNFA position involves evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting surgical nursing care for perioperative patients. The role requires performing as a staff RN as well as a First Assistant when needed, and includes performing surgical procedures under the supervision of a surgeon. The RNFA will function in both scrub and circulating nurse roles and will perform a variety of duties to assist the surgeon during procedures.
