About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Killeen Nursing and Rehabilitation. This position is integral to our CARE culture, where we prioritize the lives of our residents and the community. As an RN, you will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of an assigned unit. Your supervision must adhere to current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing long-term care facilities, as well as our established policies and procedures. You will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. In your role as Charge Nurse, you will be delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out your assigned duties effectively. This includes directing the daily functions of nursing activities in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern our facility. You will ensure that the nursing services Policies and Procedures Manual is adhered to by nursing personnel, reflecting the day-to-day nursing care procedures utilized in our facility. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that an adequate number of appropriately trained personnel are always on duty to meet the needs of your assigned area, developing work assignments, and assisting staff in completing their tasks. Building and maintaining a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility is crucial to assure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of our residents. Your expertise and leadership will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and efficient nursing environment.
