There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
The purpose of your job position as a Registered Nurse (RN) at West Covina Healthcare Center is to provide each resident with routine daily nursing care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by your supervisors. You will be responsible for the assessment and development of resident care plans, ensuring that all nursing care is provided in privacy, and checking vital signs. Your role will also involve dressing wounds, passing out medications, assisting with admissions, and making rounds with physicians. You will be expected to start IVs, listen to residents and their families, and address any questions or concerns they may have. In addition to these responsibilities, you will perform accurate and detailed charting of resident progress notes, provide assistance to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and ensure that all equipment is in good operating order. Monitoring residents who are at risk for falls, collecting lab samples, and abiding by all facility policies and procedures, including confidentiality protocols, are also key aspects of your role. You will need to follow Infection and Control policies and report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately. Participation in annual facility in-service training programs and completing other assignments as requested by management are also part of your duties. It is important to note that while every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position, the omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.
