About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing services in a school setting located in Chesapeake, Virginia. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Current, active, and unrestricted Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license (or multi-state compact license)
• Current CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience
• Demonstrated clinical competency in school-based healthcare needs, including but not limited to: Tracheostomy care, Suctioning, Seizure management, Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care, Asthma/allergy/oxygen management, Diabetes care, Catheterization and ostomy care

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in pediatrics
• Clinical experience in school nursing
• Clinical experience in emergency
• Clinical experience in public health

Responsibilities

• Provide care aligned with student medical needs (e.g., trach, seizures, G-tubes, diabetes)
• Following compliance and documentation standards
• Supporting student safety and well-being
• Adhering to district policies
• Any other duties as assigned
