About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the PM shift. The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures that quality care is provided in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The RN will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to maintain the highest level of resident care and satisfaction. Requirements

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of nursing experience — no new graduates at this time.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, quality care and lead by example.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure quality care during the PM shift.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor resident care to ensure adherence to care plans and facility standards.
  • Communicate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident status and care needs.
  • Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents as required.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and leadership to nursing assistants and LVNs.
  • Maintain documentation and complete reports as required by facility policies and regulatory agencies.
