About The Position

The Registered Nurse (R.N.) assess, directs, delegates, coordinates and evaluates consumer care through collaborative efforts with health team members and in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The registered Nurse may serve as the administration’s designee in supervisory capacity. Coordination of all staff assignments ensures that all consumers will receive optimal care and that the unit duties are completed. The Registered Nurse position is considered a professional licensed position in the Behavioral Health field and a career track of promotion to other nursing positions of increased responsibility and salary is available. Requirements

Graduated of an accredited school of nursing is required, BSN preferred.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/mental health field is required.
Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is required.
Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Professional demeanor and appearance required.
