Registered Nurse (RN)- PRN This position provides support to our outpatient programs with ability to pick up more hours when available. No weekends required! Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Dover, Delaware area. Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Requirements

  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Delaware (or eligible to receive or renew).
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive Nursing Assessments and assist in creating goals, objectives, and interventions for the treatment plan
  • Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that quality services are provided to patients in the Partial and Intensive Outpatient Programs
  • Work closely with the Provider to submit medication requests or changes in medication and ensure that medication reconciliation forms are up to date with the most recent changes.
  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with patients using strong communication skills
  • Complete all documentation timely, accurately and in accordance to nursing standards/facility policies and procedures
  • Participate in hospital emergency codes necessary to the unit’s and the hospital’s safe operation
  • Comply with safety and security policies and procedures, including those regarding incidents and injuries. Documents and reports incidents and injuries appropriately
  • Assist patients in self-administering of medications as prescribed by physician in a safe, accurate and timely manner utilizing the “Five Rights” of medication administration
