Registered Nurse (RN) - Elbow Lake and Morris Procedure/Outpatient Services (74248)
About The Position
This position will work in the Surgery/Outpatient departments in Morris and Elbow Lake. This position performs specialized professional nursing duties in assisting surgeons in the operating room; acts as a scrub or sterile nurse; sets up operating room according to type of operation; assists surgeon during the operative procedures; transfers patient from the operating room to the recovery room; and performs related duties as required. The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients. The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. The RN must be able to supervise others as assigned including LPN’s, nursing assistants, clerks, and students. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, PRHHS employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The RN must be able to provide patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgment. Hours/Shifts 64 hours biweekly, Day/PM shifts Compensation Hourly Wage Range: $38.06 - $56.70/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Minnesota
- BLS certification
- Willingness to be certified in ACLS within the first year of employment
- Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required
- Must be able to attend the work site per schedule
- Adequate computer/keyboarding skills
