About The Position

Join CAREonsite as a Registered Nurse (RN) Occupational Health & Injury Case Management! CAREonsite, a division of Tang & Company, provides comprehensive occupational medical services to employers nationwide. We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to support onsite occupational health programs, injury case management, and employee wellness initiatives. This role is ideal for an RN with a strong clinical foundation who thrives in a proactive, fast-paced work environment. Schedule & Pay Schedule: Monday Friday | 6:30 AM 3:00 PM Pay Range: $40 $50 per hour

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • At least 2 years of experience in general medicine, occupational health, emergency room, or a related clinical setting.
  • Current ACLS/AED certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy, IV blood draws, and immunizations .
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic medical documentation systems.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to five hours per shift and infrequently lift up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite occupational health nursing services, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up care for work-related injuries and illnesses in accordance with nursing standards, OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and applicable regulations.
  • Deliver first-day injury management, including contacting injured employees within 24 hours to assess condition, provide guidance, and answer questions.
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical situations by administering first aid, coordinating emergency medical services when required, and serving as a medical liaison with hospitals and external providers as authorized.
  • Conduct and support physical examinations, discuss medical findings with employees, and provide follow-up recommendations as appropriate.
  • Facilitate telemedicine and telehealth consultations with physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or physicians for occupational and non-occupational conditions and non-emergency medical concerns.
  • Manage work-related injury and illness cases, including coordination with Human Resources, Employee Care Services, site leadership, and approved medical specialists.
  • Monitor employee medical status, obtain and communicate medical updates, and support return-to-work, modified duty, and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
  • Assist with non-work-related medical concerns as requested, including limited walk-in care and referrals for emergency treatment when necessary.
  • Support occupational health, wellness, and injury prevention initiatives, including health screenings, wellness events, and educational programs.
  • Collaborate with supervising occupational physicians to develop and support health promotion programs and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted medical advisor to site leadership, providing consultation on health, safety, and medical programs that may impact operations.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare clear, relevant written summaries of medical evaluations and physical examinations for employees and employer representatives, as appropriate.
  • Perform monthly medical inventory reviews, including verifying supplies and equipment, checking expiration dates and condition, identifying shortages or damaged items, and submitting required inventory reports.
  • Coordinate medical supply ordering with company representatives and approved vendors, ensuring compliance with purchasing and billing requirements.
