About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Gynecology Physician Office Southwoods Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Gynecology Physician Office in Boardman, Ohio. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care by assisting physicians with clinical procedures, preparing patients for examinations, and managing efficient patient flow. Essential Duties: Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for patients and visitors through exceptional customer service. Assist physicians with clinical procedures and schedule follow-up procedures as needed. Complete required Environment of Care (EOC) rounds. Monitor diagnostic testing results and route them to the ordering physician. Interact with patients to communicate results per physician instructions; order additional testing or schedule follow-up appointments as necessary. Manage incoming calls and respond to patient messages regarding medical concerns. Process prescription refill requests through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Perform Point of Care (POC) testing as ordered, in accordance with policy. Compile orders, reports, and lab results for hospital procedures and fax them to the appropriate destinations. Ensure the practice maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, ODH, BOP, TJC). Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the organization.

Requirements

  • License: Active, current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Certification: BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a physician’s office or ambulatory setting; Gynecology experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor with strong ethical and moral principles.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills; previous EMR experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a physician’s office or ambulatory setting; Gynecology experience preferred.
