About The Position

This innovative program provides exceptional support of newly licensed Registered Nurses. Through in-depth experiences on three different specialty units at St. Luke's Medical Center; the program provides choices to assist you in determining an area to start your career. What you will do Applicants will work in a cohort with support and collaboration throughout the program. In collaboration with the BFO Program Manager, three specialty units will be selected for the unit rotations. Participants will staff with a preceptor for 3 weeks, (36 hours per week), on 3 Specialty Med/Surg units. Program progresses for a total of three months. Through a Realistic Job Preview of each unit's culture, the candidate will determine and choose which unit best fits their career goal for longevity. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
