About The Position

Responsible for providing direct nursing care to assigned patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Provides intensive nursing care to acutely ill medical and/or surgical inpatients. The Registered Nurse's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performance improvement initiatives, utilization of the nursing process in the provision of care, communication skills, flexibility, quality improvement activities, and professional growth.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program
• Current PA RN license
• Healthcare Provider CPR
• ACLS within one year of hire/transfer
• Act 33/73 clearances
• Clinical rotation through educational program.
• Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing
• CCRN
• Prior med-surg experience and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Critical Care experience, including but not limited to: IABP, IV insertion, care of the ventilator patient, ABG's, Swan Ganz, Arterial Lines, care of the post open heart patient, and care of the patient requiring CRRT, ACLS, and PALS.
