Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred.
  • Current and valid Connecticut RN license.
  • Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting.
  • BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and document clinical progress.
  • Medication Administration: Deliver oncology-specific treatments with attention to accurate dosing, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Patient & Family Education: Provide clear, empathetic education on diagnoses, treatments, and self-care strategies.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with physicians and healthcare teams to monitor neurological status, cognitive function, motor skills, and sensory responses.
