Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Willingness to learn and uphold long-term care regulations and standards

Responsibilities

• Order and manage medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed
• Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by physicians
• Notify physicians and/or family members when there is a change in resident condition
• Deliver professional nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, dressing changes, wound care, packs, and irrigations as necessary
• Provide continuous observation and monitoring of seriously ill residents
• Advocate for residents, ensuring other team members are delivering care according to resident care plans and personal wishes
• Accurately complete required charting and documentation in a timely manner
• Provide compassionate, professional nursing care to geriatric residents requiring 24/7 support
