About The Position

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity acute care environment in Hudson, Florida . This role is ideal for critical care nurses who excel in fast-paced settings and are passionate about caring for critically ill patients. The ICU RN will manage complex patient conditions while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care.

Requirements

Active Florida RN license or valid compact RN license (Florida license required within 60 days of hire)
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (MICU, SICU, CVICU, or comparable critical care unit)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA)
Strong critical-thinking, communication, and clinical assessment skills
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience in MICU, SICU, CVICU, or similar critical care settings

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill ICU patients
Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond to acute changes in status
Administer medications, titratable drips, and treatments in accordance with provider orders
Operate and manage advanced critical care equipment and monitoring systems
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Adhere to patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards
