Feel free to email your questions to [email protected] #LI-AR1 Registered Nurse (RN) Full Time-Nights – Labor and Delivery Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location\: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033 Work hours\: Full Time- 36 Hours/Week; Days 7\:00 pm-7\:00 am (Three-12-hour shifts per week) must be available for weekend shifts. Labor and Delivery highlights: · Average 120 deliveries per month · Focused on the experience of all who enter the hospital · Promote family-centered care · Supportive of the patient’s vision of the Labor & Delivery process
Requirements
- Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
- 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) And
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) And
- IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) And
- NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
Nice To Haves
- BSN (Preferred)
- 2 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
