About The Position

Signature Healthcare's Brockton Hospital is hiring for a Part-Time, Flex, 8 Hour Shift, Registered Nurse (RN) for Telemetry in Brockton, MA. A New Day Our recently renovated Brockton Hospital is a modern healthcare facility with a focus on superior patient care and safety. Following extensive renovations, the hospital is equipped with an advanced infrastructure to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community. Join our team at Brockton Hospital and be better and stronger than ever. Telemetry Support staff include unit secretaries and clinical care assistants. A2 admits patients primarily from the Emergency Department. Patients are also admitted/transferred from the Critical Care Unit and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. A2 cares for the adult patient from age 18 and up that requires cardiac monitoring. We service a diverse population. The A2 nursing staff collaborates closely with the cardiology team. We have daily multidisciplinary rounds which include nursing, the hospitalist team, social work, physical therapy, case management to plan for patient discharge. The majority of our patients will undergo diagnostic cardiac testing including stress testing, echocardiograms and cardiac catheterization.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Maybe a beginning practitioner.
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered.
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Providers completion.

Software/Hardware: Meditech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assessment: collects relevant patient health data (age-specific pertinent to specialty area).
Diagnosis: analyzes the assessment data in determining nursing diagnoses.
Outcome identification: identifies individualized, expected outcomes for patient.
Planning/Implementation: develops and implements Plan of Care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
Evaluation: evaluates and documents the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes in the patient medical record.
Provide nursing care to assigned patients.
Administers prescribed medication and intravenous solutions in a safe manner.
Reports significant alterations in patient's condition to physician.
Counsels, educate, and includes patients and their families in accordance with the overall plan of care.
Assists patient and family in coping with stress accompanying illness; offering solace and support to the dying.
Quality of Care: systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
Individual Practice Evaluation: reflects knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in health care delivery, in daily practice.
Education: acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in the care of patients.
Collegiality: interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers as colleagues.
Ethics: decisions and actions on behalf of patients are determined in an ethical manner.
Collaboration: collaborates with the team, consisting of patient, family, and healthcare providers, in providing patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
Research: uses clinical inquiry in practice
Resource Utilization: considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering patient care.
