About The Position
Lifelong Health & Rehab in Smithfield is looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join their team full-time on the day shift. The role involves working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and executes the delivery of resident care and directs all activities to provide quality service and assure positive resident outcomes. This position maintains close contact with residents, families, and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
- Call Rotation
- Weekend Shifts
- Irregular Shifts
Responsibilities
- Assigns duties to professional and non-professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need.
- Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
- Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care.
- Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff.
- Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process.
- Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
- Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
- Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
