About The Position
Immediate Need: School Registered Nurse (RN) | Full-Time | Onsite We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide full-time, 1:1 medical support for a high school student with specialized healthcare needs. This role includes riding the school bus with the student to and from their home in Talbot County and their school in Baltimore County. While onsite, the RN will also provide nursing support to an additional student who requires medical assistance during the school day. Position Details: Employment Status: Full-time (37.5 hours) Location: Onsite position | Talbot County Population: High-school setting Pay: $35–$40 per hour FSLA: W-2 employment Additional Requirments: Bus transportation w/ student required (morning and afternoon routes) The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and comfortable providing individualized care in both transportation and school environments. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- Ability to ride the school bus daily (morning and afternoon routes between Talbot County and Baltimore County)
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist students as needed
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening

- Experience providing 1:1 care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to a high school student with specialized medical needs
- Ride the school bus with the student to and from their home in Talbot County and school in Baltimore County
- Monitor and assess the student’s medical condition throughout the school day
- Administer medications and perform skilled nursing procedures as ordered by the physician
- Implement and follow the student’s individualized healthcare plan (IHP) and emergency care plan
- Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and daily nursing notes
- Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Provide support to an additional student requiring nursing services during the school day
- Ensure student safety during transportation and while onsite at school
- Maintain compliance with state nursing regulations and school district policies
