About The Position

Under minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse provides nursing care for a group of assigned patients by matching patient needs with the nurse's competencies. The role requires completing established competencies within a designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• For RN in Behavioral Health: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department.
• Dialysis Department: In addition to Basic Life Support, ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit.
• Behavioral Health Unit: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
• Minimum experience: None for Med/Surg and Behavioral Health.
• Minimum experience: 1 year in acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree
• 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg
• 2 years in psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health
• 2 years acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis

Responsibilities
