About The Position

Atrium Health Levine Cancer Outpatient Transplant and Cellular Therapy - is looking for a part-time Registered Nurse to support this new program. This is an ambulatory infusion style pod with 15 chairs that is open 7 days a week from 0700-1900 to support the needs of transplant and cellular therapy patients. This team will help prepare patients for transplant by administering chemotherapy, administer cellular therapy products, and support patients during the acute phase after receiving the cellular therapy with IV medications, electrolyte replacement, blood products and other supportive care measures. This program is an extension of our already existing Transplant and Cellular Therapy program that was established 10 years ago and has completed more than 1200 transplants.. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the original outpatient TCT team ! As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses and phlebotomy preferred
  • Oncology certification preferred
