At New Horizons the Nurse is responsible for Keeping Kids First by providing oversight and guidance to the Ranch, one of our Residential Treatment Centers to assure medical well-being. The RN ensures services are consistent with the program’s service standards by delivering trauma-informed and family-engaged care. The RN collaborates with physicians, behavioral health staff, and direct care staff to support the overall treatment plan and improve health outcomes for youth with complex emotional, behavioral, and medical needs. The Nurse is expected to obtain a thorough knowledge of the New Horizons’ Philosophy of Keeping Kids First and its Treatment Model; while demonstrating a commitment to continue to review, practice and operate within it. Keeping Kids First requires that every decision and action be motivated by and geared toward meeting the highest need of the individual kid. New Horizons will not tolerate anyone who is not committed to keeping kids safe from abuse, neglect and exploitation.
