About The Position
Atrium Health Levine Cancer Oncology Palliative medicine; Palliative medicine experts provide specialized care to cancer patients experiencing distress at any point during their cancer journey. Palliative medicine experts can help to: Manage side effects like pain, tiredness and nausea Connect you with a social worker to talk about things like how cancer affects your life and any challenges you're facing Find other supportive care that may help you, including massage therapy, nutrition therapy or acupuncture As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high- quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
