About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – PRN II, Rotating shifts – Free-standing Facility, TH Willow Park Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + together Work location: Texas Health Willow Park, 101 Crown Point Blvd, Willow Park, TX 76087 Work hours: PRN II/per diem, rotating shifts, 3 shifts per 6-week schedule, 1 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, 1 major and 1 minor holidays required Department Highlights 10-bed emergency department Located about 20 miles west of downtown Ft. Worth Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week Full-service ED with highly qualified nursing staff Providing care for a wide variety of patients from neonate, pediatric and seniors covering an array of illnesses and injuries Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance. Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
• PALS – within 90 days of hire required
• NIHSS – within 90 days of hire required
• TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required
• ENPC – within 12 months of hire required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1-year clinical RN nursing experience required
• demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
• possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
• have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

• ED experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
