About The Position
Working at Pineville’s Newest Oncology/Med/Surg unit means joining a new unit that offers the opportunity to grow with a team from the ground up. The unit's patient population consists of Oncology, GI, respiratory, cardiac, diabetes, and short stay surgeries such as cholecystectomies and appendectomies, providing a robust and diverse skillset for nurses. The unit values Shared Governance through a newly created Unit Practice Council, encourages Clinical Ladder Advancement, professional certification, and strives to grow a strong unit culture of teamwork, commitment, integrity, and caring. As a skilled and compassionate RN, the role involves playing a pivotal part in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards and policies.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards and policies
