About The Position

Lincoln Hospital Nursing Req #: 60722 This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience Summary: The Ambulatory Care Unit is a dynamic and fast paced environment including 8 ASU and 2-3 PACU bays. The nurses are responsible for caring for a variety of perioperative phases including pre-op, phase I and phase 2. Nurses have the opportunity to care for orthopedic, general-surgery, ophthalmology, podiatry, ENT, urology and more. Nurses will assess and make critical judgments about patient needs while coordinating with multiple departments or providers (anesthesia, surgeon, and other hospital units) during all phases of operative care. Nurses are also able to cross train to the OR to add to their skill base. The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
  • One year of recent RN experience required.
  • Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).
