About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to support a float pool within an acute care hospital setting. This is an overhire float position , and floating is required across applicable units based on staffing needs. This opportunity is open to first-time travelers . Candidates must be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in multiple inpatient environments.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum recent experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
• BLS certification (required)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• Ability and willingness to float between units
• Strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and teamwork skills
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult MS/Tele patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Float between assigned units as needed to support staffing demands
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely charting
